12 Working Days
Have been lost due to patients not attending appointments in the last 12 months
This was mainly ‘On the Day’ Appointments. We will be writing to individual patients highlighting this issue.
If you are unable to attend an appointment then please call and cancel your appointment. This will allow us to give that appointment to someone else.
Telephones
| Our telephone switchboard opens at 8.00 am every weekday morning, 30 minutes before the Surgery doors open. We endeavour to answer the telephone as soon as possible but at busy times during the day you may be directed to our queuing system where we can answer the calls in queuing order.
At all times there is an Emergency Doctor who will take calls concerning medical emergencies but is unable to deal with administration or non-medical matters. |
Home visits
Our Doctors can visit you at home if medically necessary. If you need a home visit please call our direct line 020 8607 3924 before 10.30 am on weekdays and one of our Doctors will return your call. Please tell the Receptionist if you feel your problem is urgent.
Current Appointment System
|
Appointments with a Doctor or Nurse are spaced at 10 minute intervals. However, some patients' appointments can exceed this time so that the appointment you booked with your Doctor or Nurse may be later than the booked time. Each appointment is for one person only.
If you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, our reception team will ask you to rebook.
If you book an appointment please make sure that you keep it. If for any reason you are unable to keep your appointment please let us know in advance so that we can offer the slot to another patient. We monitor missed appointments and will notify patients if they regularly fail to attend without notification.
Standard advanced bookable appointments
Doctors' appointments can be booked with a clinician of your choice up to 3 weeks in advance and can be for most medical matters. There are both male and female Doctors and if you have a preference please let Reception know when you make your appointment.
Nurse appointments can be booked up to 4 weeks in advance. The Nurses can deal with a range of medical illnnesses and a list of these can be found under nurssing staff in the Clinics section. Our Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Prescriber are able to prescribe medication. |
